  • Flexible working - We have a good flexible working scheme in place and also allow provisions for compassionate leave, paternity leave, family leave, job sharing, special leave, unpaid sabbaticals, jury service and home working.
  • Holidays - We offer a generous 25 days holiday allowance which rises to a maximum of 30 days with service. We also provide a service of banking and buying additional annual leave.
  • Occupational health and well-being services - We have a comprehensive occupational health and well being service which includes an occupational health advisor who attends monthly sessions, physiotherapy, health awareness sessions, free eye tests and a counselling service. Sick pay entitlement is also generous, giving up to six months full and six months half pay after five years service. All staff have the option of joining the BUPA Cash Plan and Private Health Care schemes which at present are employee funded at preferential rates. By direct deduction from pay, these schemes bring cash payment for employees for medical and dental treatment depending on the level of contribution.
  • Social Housing Pension Scheme (SHPS) - This is a final salary pension scheme available to all employees.
  • Childcare Voucher Scheme - Deductions from pay can be taken for registered or approved childcare which brings tax benefits meaning a saving of up to 33% on childcare costs.
  • Essential Car Users Allowances - We provide car allowances and an attractive car allowance for approved posts.
  • Staff saving scheme - A voluntary company saving scheme is in place where staff can elect to have deductions from their salary at the start of the year.
  • Give As You Earn Scheme - We support many charities through various activities such as dressing down days and a recently added option is the Give As You Earn (GAYE) scheme whereby deductions are taken from gross salary to a charity of the employees choice.
  • Time for Leisure scheme - We have corporate registration with a company called ‘Time for Leisure’ which offers employees a wide range of discounted leisure, insurance and financial products through their website.
  • Attractive working environment - This includes free refreshments to all employees; water machines, coffee, tea and biscuits. Airconditioning units provide a more comfortable working environment in the summertime. As part of our healthy living initiatives, bowls of fresh fruit are also placed in each department for employees to help themselves.
  • Awards - We recognise achievements through bonus payments, and through our 'You are a Star' and 'Best Team awards.’
