There are five distinct neighbourhoods within Congleton.  These are Bromley Farm, Buglawton, Lower Heath, West Heath and Town Centre.

In Congleton in 2009/11 we aim to:

  • Carry out planned maintenance including new kitchens bathrooms or rewiring in 233 homes.  There will also be an external painting programme for 250 homes
  • Redevelop the former St Marys Court site into a new Extra Care housing scheme
  • Carry out an environmental action day “The Big Tidy Up” on Bromley Farm
  • Support Bromley Farm Community Development Trust planting scheme in Dale Crescent and other locations
  • Replace concrete fence panels on Bromley Farm – Woolston Avenue/ Bardwell Grove to railings to prevent Graffiti
  • Paint metal railings – Newton Place, Bromley Farm;
  • Support Residents to move to more appropriate housing as Elworth Court is closed down
  • Work in partnership to provide positive neighbourhood activities for Young People to prevent ASB in Congleton: continue to provide support for the Annual Like to Bike Programme
  • Carry out a programme of neighbourhood events including a family sports day in Buglawton 
  • Deliver an energy efficiency project with Daven Primary School and local scouts group.
