Plus Dane Group shortlisted for national housing award
Reaching the shortlist for these prestigious awards is a great recognition of our achievements
Neighbourhood investor, the Plus Dane Housing Group, has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.
The housing association, which owns or manages over 15,000 homes across Merseyside and Cheshire, has been shortlisted in the Regional Award for Outstanding Achievement in the North Award at the 2010 National Affordable Home Ownership Housing Awards. The Award ceremony will take place on the 9th September at the Millennium London Hotel.
The Awards recognise and celebrate outstanding achievement in the affordability sector. It is the only awards event organised by the sector, for the sector, and is endorsed and supported by the Department for Communities and Local Government, the Homes and Communities Agency, the National Housing Federation, the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment and the Royal Society of Architects in Wales.
One of Plus Dane’s key promised is to increase the supply and choice of homes and it is one of the largest developing housing associations in the Northwest, with a pipeline of nearly 1,500 across seven local authority areas. Plus Dane is the accountable body in Plus Harvest Developments, a regional partnership of 23 developing housing associations working together to provide quality, affordable homes.
Since 2009, Plus Dane has delivered 195 new homes for intermediate rent and affordable home ownership and managed 240 HomeBuy Direct completions. Plus Dane is the HomeBuy Agency for both Merseyside and Cheshire, and this year alone has managed over 2,000 enquiries and helped over 700 people to find a home of their own through HomeBuy choices and other options such as intermediate rent.
